One advantage of being a blogger and taking pictures of my home every Christmas is that I can look back at what I did the year before.
It shows me what I have in my Christmas decorations, so I know if I need to buy something new or not.
Take them with your phone and keep them in a folder labeled with the year.
No need for a fancy camera at all!
This is just a reference for you, so it doesn’t have to be perfect.
Start with the quickest or easiest area for you to decorate. This can be any space! Staircase, mantle or small tree.
Make the first area you decorate the one you want to keep as long as possible.
Start with your favorite Christmas decor such as a Christmas village, a display on a kitchen island or a flower arrangement.
What I’m really trying to say is don’t overthink things just get into the spirit!
Maybe you have to start with what is easiest to get to in the garage, the attic or the storage cupboard. Whatever works for you.
This is a marathon and not a sprint, so enjoy the process. I like to throw on some Christmas music and get it going!
My 9ft Christmas tree always seems to come last because it is the hardest and longest project.
