“A loft was not usually designed to be lived in,” explains Tyson Ness, a New York-based interior designer. “Most have the wonderful high ceilings, massive windows and industrial details that are in fashion, but also tend to be dark spaces with a window at one end of the space, making the interior of the space dark.”
