CHANGE LIGHTING
Without a doubt, the fastest way to get the cozy atmosphere is by changing the lighting. Put warmer bulbs in your living room, light some candles on the fireplace mantel, and plug in that Christmas tree! You want warm lighting at low levels to encourage relaxation.
Take any of the blankets in the room and replace them with something heavier. When you’re cozy on the couch, you want something thick and soft to keep you warm on cold nights. And hey, if they’re flannel or plaid…all the better!
The same can be said about pillows, which are quite cheap and easy to change. If you’re feeling extra ambitious, you can even spice up your space by adding festive curtains.
