Depending on your house’s layout, there are several ways to add a half bath by carving out space from your existing floor plan. What I’ve presented here are three options that have worked for my clients: a bathroom tucked under a staircase, one carved out of a garage, and another nestled into a gable roof.
Other solutions I have used include mounting a half bath in a large storage closet and dividing a large bathroom into a half bath and a smaller bathroom.
