Although POP suspended ceilings are not as common in metropolitan cities anymore, they still have some advantages over the more common gypsum suspended ceilings. POP comes in powder form which is mixed with water to form a paste which is then applied to a chicken net, treated and dried. These boards can be shaped to create different designs to perfectly suit the homeowner’s taste and the roof in question. They are flexible to install in the corners and provide very durable suspended ceilings that can last for years.

But the whole process of creating POP cards on site is messy, wasteful and laborious. POP boards require sufficient drying time before installation – they can take up to a month to install. They require skilled labor to give a good clean finish and to ensure that the POP is mixed in the correct proportion.
Plasterboard false ceiling
These boards are available in various sizes and can be easily installed by attaching them to a metal frame. Because they are manufactured in factory conditions, the discs are consistent, quality and provide a seamless finish with minimal joints. Installing a plaster false ceiling is efficient, messy and time-saving and adds a finesse to the ceiling that POP cannot replicate.
