1. Add flowers or flowering plants
Splashes of color break up green, providing variety, contrast and focal points. Try sowing both annual and perennial flowers. for example cosmos, hydrangeas, sunflowers and marigolds.
However, you don’t have to specifically plant flowers. A wide variety of herbs and vegetables also have beautiful flowers. These include: chives (purple), spring onions (white), dill (yellow), thyme (light pink to purple), basil (white or purple), pineapple sage (red), rosemary (purple), arugula (white), as well as all flowering vegetables and fruits.
